How much space do I need?

There is no easy way to calculate exactly how much space you need until you actually have everything packed up, but experience has shown us that as a general guide:

8×5 is about the size of a transit van and would hold the contents of a small office, A handyman or builders tools and equipment or the contents of a small bedroom.

20×8 is about the size of a 7.5 tonne van and would potentially hold the contents of a 2-3 bedroom house or a biggish office or stock room.

Choosing the wrong size unit – It’s easy to underestimate how much space you’ll need. We can help you plan properly so you get what you need with no suprises.

✔️

Poor packing – Pack heavy items at the bottom, lighter ones on top, and always label boxes clearly on more than one side. You may think you know what is in each box now but it’ll save you endless time and frustration later.

✔️

Not protecting furniture – A simple dust sheet or old blanket goes a long way. Wrap sofas, mattresses, and wooden items to keep them clean and scratch-free while stored.

✔️

Blocking access to important items – Need something halfway through your rental? Leave a clear walkway down the middle or to the side and put essentials near the front. Think ahead!
